This fly works well while sight casting to actively feeding fish.
The Epoxy Minnow is mainly a daytime fly which works equally well for both offshore (bait balls) or the flats.
For species actively feeding at the surface, cast to the area where fish are feeding, or cast to individual fish if possible. Retrieve steadily with a medium speed. In areas with heavy current, try a dead-drift presentation or cast across the current and let the fly swing...this can be deadly at times.
If fish refuse your presentation, vary the speed of the retrieve, or add a pause between strips. This fly resists fouling during rapid-fire casts to fish like Tuna, making for perfect presentations cast after cast.
The Pink Thing Fly was developed by Graham White from Darwin in the Northern Territory back in the 80's based on the Whistler Fly Pattern.
The Pink Thing Fly is one of the best Barramundi Fly’s ever devised, it has caught thousands of Barramundi over the years...
It holds its profile, pushes water and is tied to last double the captures compared to what a Original feathered style couldnt handle!
Weipa Guide Ben Bright from LAST CAST CHARTERS in Australia tested it to its limits below is his feedback.
Well over 100 bites on it and it stood up as one of the most durable flies ever. For the sake of the exercise I kept it on until it was either lost or destroyed. A credit to your work mate.
